Keep you legs closed ladies. Santorum sugar daddy. Foster Friess is a real pill on contraception.

Commonsense2day, Santorum is to far to the right on social issues. Not only will woman not support him, the American people do not share his extreme views. He is hypocritical when he exclaims that Romney did one thing regarding health-care in his state, but although Romney has spoken  over and over denouncing Obama care, Rick holds to his “so what” I don’t care what you say, because of what you did in your state.  So, its hypocritical for Rick to say, at my core this is what I believe, but don’t worry I wont let it affect my policies. Santorum and his core beliefs and moral and religious principles will not effect his government polciies, that’s ridiculous. You can’t run as someone who holds these cherished beliefs and then turn right around and say, don’t worry I won’t let any of my beliefs effect policy. That is the most ridiculous thing and no one believes it. Santorum is not right of center, he is off the map when it comes to many of his beliefs.

Foster Friess proved to be a real pill on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” today. Mitchell asked the mega-wealthy and conservative bank roller of Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign if he had any concerns about Santorum’s comments on social issues such as contraception and women in combat. Friess’s stupefying, backward and dangerous response had jaws dropping from coast to coast.

People seem to be preoccupied with sex. I think it says something about our culture. We, maybe, need a massive therapy session so we can concentrate on what the real issues are. This contraceptive thing. My gosh, it’s so inexpensive. Back in my days they used Bayer Aspirin for contraception. The gals put it between their knees, and it wasn’t that costly. Continue reading

FATHER RICK SANTORUM, A NICE GUY…BUT…

Email to a Friend Email to a Friend

The 2012 republican primaries have been full of nice people, I think everyone would agree with that statement.  However, each one of them come with their own “but”. Congress woman Bachman, tore out of the gate with an Iowa straw poll win that the media latched onto to make her the first ‘flavor’ of the race, then came the ‘buts’. Then we had the rise of Herman Cain, the Godfather’s Pizza CEO, and his 999 plan, and then came his ‘but’s’ with a little side of extra cheese to boot, and the new ‘flavor’ failed to deliver, and so much so that he bowed out.

Then we had the extra-ordinary Texan who rose and fell through his seemingly odd behavior and failed debate performances which led every one to question is good old fashion IQ. Odd, but again, the flavor or the day that came and went.

And of course we have Newt, that requires no comment as his ‘buts’ are so prolific. So, here we are with Father Santorum as the new flavor of the day, the question will not be his strengths as a candidate and potential leader of the free world. The question facing the American populace will be are his ‘buts’ bigger and more troubling than Mitt Romney’s or Newt Gingrich’s but’s.

Ron Paul’s but’s are excluded for the obvious reasons.

It’s a real telling sign when we are not voting on the most qualified but instead the least offensive.

All alone am I ever since your goodbye All alone with just a beat of my heart” (All Alone Am I/Manos Hadjidakis)

CHICAGO, February 5, 2012—Like the Brenda Lee recording, Newt Gingrich stood on a podium in an empty room, all alone, with just the sound of his voice. There were no supporters, no cheers, no Newtrons crying out “Newt, Newt, Newt!” Even his wife was missing from his side. Continue reading

DONALD TRUMP CONSIDERING INDEPENDENT BID. LETS BE SERIOUS DONALD.

Email to a Friend Email to a Friend

If only Mr. Donald Trump could do one of these talking head interviews with out mentioning The Apprentice then perhaps we could take him more seriously. It’s unfortunate that he gets talking head space, on Face the Nation, to do nothing more than run a free commercial for his reality TV show. It doesn’t speak well of him or any of the news hosts that pretend to do a real interview with him.

These hosts are  not dummies, then know he’s there to promote his TV show, but they also know that Donald Trump is an entertainer type and a larger than life personality that gets people to stop channel surfing and tune their TV onto their station to see and hear the Donald. Continue reading

CAIN ENDORSES GINGRICH, DOES ANYONE REALLY CARE?

Didn’t Herman Cain make a big announcement just about a week ago and did the talking head circuit, to say that he was not throwing his support behind any presidential candidate and he very weirdly – in an attempt to grab more headlines through oddity – gave his endorsement to “we the people”. What happened Herman? Have “we the people” been thrown under the bus?

DEAR NEWT, PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY UNDERWEAR. STOP WHINING AND GET A BACKBONE. THE WHINING IS UNBECOMING. BIG GIRL PANTIES MAY HELP ALSO. WHAT EVER YOU DO, STOP THE WHINING.

Dear Newt,

Here is a piece of commonsense2day advice, for what it’s worth. Winner’s win! Winner’s do not cry like babies. And that’s exactly what you look like on every talking head appearance. You are not even intelligently responding to any attack ads, what you are doing is whining about them. So here is the advice, we want to here about what you will do if you were president of this great country, that’s what we want to hear from all of the candidates. There is more than enough record recorded on every candidate that we do not care to hear air-time on what he did when, we can read and filter through that quite well on our own, on this thing called the internet. We do not want to here incessant whining on every talking head appearance, why you would use your free air time to whine vs. explaining issues that are affecting the country is stupid. “I spent 25 years in business,” Mr. Romney said. “If I had a business executive come to me and say they wanted to spend a few hundred billion dollars to put a colony on the moon, I’d say, ‘You’re fired.’ ”

Florida’s 2012 debate proves our previous point about Newt Gingrich, Newt does best when he is serving up “red meat“. If there is a tent revival hallelujah adrenalin pumping style debate that’s where he shines.  However, if there is any level of substance deeper than an inch of water he drowns – and mostly in his arrogance – because he comes into these debates ill prepared because he is higher IQ that all of us. At least that’s what he believes.

Over and over again last night we saw Gingrich taken apart-from the lunar colony lunacy to blindly going after his fellow republican Romney for being successful and financially well off as a result-or living the American dream.  We said it before and we’ll say it again, we are not electing a debater, perhaps after last night’s debate Gingrich will stop the silly rhetoric that we need to nominate someone who can beat Pres. Obama in a debate – who cares. Facts are that is this was a street-brawl for the presidency and the venue was a debate, Obama was filet the former speaker of the house.

FAIR AND BALANCED (RIGHT), OUT OF ALL OF THE TALKING HEADS WHY IS SEAN HANNITY GIVING AIR-TIME TO NEWT TO COMMENT ON THE AIRZONA’S GOVERNORS RUN-IN WITH OBAMA

Email to a Friend Email to a Friend

Why is a 2012 political candidate being called upon to comment on such a generic news items that happened today between Pres. Obama and Arizona Gov today, on Hannity? Also, why is Hannity giving an air-time opportunity for a presidential candidate to comment on Pres. Obama’s State of the Union address. Why isn’t he giving equal air-time to Romney, Paul and Santorum to also give their respective opinions on the President’s State of the Union address? What happened to the fair-and-balanced news station.

Sean is unequivocally turning into Fox’s equivalent of MSNBC’s Chris Matthew’s. The bias is unabashed. Continue reading

NEWT’S JANITOR IDEA, BRILLIANTLY OUT OF TOUCH WITH COMMONSENSE AND EVERYDAY REALITY

Commonsense2day commentary: Go ahead and Google “newt gingrich janitor” and you’ll get an absurd number of hits. One of the better articles is posted below, from the Huffington Post. Huffington did not focus their article along the lines of ‘race’ as many others have, but they still got it wrong. What Newt’s brilliant idea really say’s is how out of touch he is with anything remotely close to reality. He apparently has no clue what is involved in hiring and staffing for a small, wee small, medium or large company. Continue reading

Palin Endorses Gingrich, or does she, Why is this woman playing stupid head games….

Email to a Friend Email to a Friend

On nearly every appearance of talking head Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity not only gives her a blank palette to draw anything she likes, he in-fact goes out of his way to dip the brush in the paint and helps her to draw everyone of her nutty conclusions to the listeners.

What happened to this woman? She use to carry the torch of putting it right out there and saying what she felt and doing what she means.  And where is the commonsense of Fox’s 9PM EST host Hannity?  It looks like he needs his fair and balanced counterpart Alan to come back and share the stage with him.

His obvious bias and blatant on-air spooning of Sarah Palin is making him totally irrelevant in the Fox news family. Sean “stop having  a love fest with your talking heads, especially the “Mrs.” Palin, she barely even combs her hair for her talking head appearances anymore, its embarrassing watching you ask her nothing except leading questions so she can spout her maybe this maybe that opinion that does nothing to support common sense. Newt Gingrich-Serving up the Red Meat to Hungry South Carolinians

Email to a Friend Email to a Friend

Not a single talking-head is calling Newt’s win in South Carolina for what it really is – he served up the “red meat” to the hungry. The debate wins were not academic lessons on policy, they were good old fashion bible preaching tent  rallies, where everyday good people were energized and  rolling in the aisles.  The problem with these spiritual revivals is that the good feelings are often fleeting. We will need more substance and less “red-meat” from Newt if he is going to present a serious challenge to President Obama. The plain and simple facts are that Newt will not make mince meat of Obama in a debate. Obama is not only pretty darn bright, he has command of the stage, and he’s a Harvard Grad of the most dangerous kind, one with “street smarts”. He will not stand still for Newt’s “red-meat” debate style, he will filet the former speaker. We need substance, not debaters.
